Apex Equine Reproduction
Specialized equine reproduction in Lipan, Texas.
The Apex difference
Every reproduction center does things a little differently. At Apex, the program was built by identifying the decisions believed to be critical to a successful outcome.
Not every mare qualifies for the Apex recipient herd. Recipients are selected with temperament, fertility, age, size, soundness, body condition, manageability and suitability for the job in mind.
Recipient mares
Continuity of reproductive management from examination through embryo transfer. Dr. Matt Parsons personally examines the donor and recipient mares, manages the reproductive decisions and performs the embryo transfers.
Dr. Matt Parsons
Historically, Dr. Parsons' 12-day pregnancy rates have exceeded 90% for conventional embryos and 80% for ICSI embryos.
Recipient mares remain at Apex through 40 days of pregnancy at no additional cost, subject to program terms. Embryonic loss can still occur following heartbeat detection, and Apex prefers to send mares home with a more established pregnancy.
Why 40 days
Additional protection for qualifying clients, subject to program terms.
Client policies
Including qualifying reservation-fee carryover when a pregnant recipient is not provided during the contract year.

It begins with specialized veterinary expertise. Dr. Matt Parsons is a veterinarian and vested partner whose career has become increasingly focused on equine reproduction. At Apex, he personally examines the donor and recipient mares, manages the reproductive decisions and performs the embryo transfers.
Apex is not focused on processing the most mares. It is focused on making the right decisions, providing the right mares and giving clients the best opportunity for results.

About Apex
Apex Equine Reproduction brings together two families with decades of experience and a shared belief that exceptional results begin long before the final outcome.
Specialized veterinary reproductive expertise, recipient-herd management and years of embryo-transfer experience. Matt and Brittany live at Apex in Lipan.
A lifetime of hands-on experience breeding, raising, training, showing and selling performance horses, and the past decade developing Tamarack Ranch through breeding, sales and show-ring results.
Committed
Your breeding program has an objective. Apex understands the investment, planning and opportunity represented by every embryo and is committed to giving it the best opportunity possible.
Results should never come at the expense of the mare. The objective is always reproductive success while protecting the donor mare's overall health, welfare and longevity.
Recipient mares are fundamental to the success of an embryo-transfer program. Apex selects and manages them as individuals, not replaceable inventory.
Every decision, from recipient selection and reproductive management to nutrition, communication and the day the mare leaves Apex, is made with the outcome in mind.
We do one thing really, really well.
We transfer embryos into an elite group of recipient mares selected and managed under exceptional scrutiny.
