About Apex
Two families. One standard.
Apex Equine Reproduction brings together two families with decades of experience and a shared belief that exceptional results begin long before the final outcome.

The Parsons family
Dr. Matt and Brittany Parsons
The Parsons family brings specialized veterinary reproductive expertise, recipient-herd management and years of embryo-transfer experience. Matt and Brittany live at Apex in Lipan, keeping the recipient herd and the daily operation part of their everyday life.
For Matt and Brittany, hands-on ownership means being present. Knowing the horses. Knowing the program. Establishing a standard and making sure it is carried through every day.
The Hutchins family
Gabe and Susi Hutchins
Gabe and Susi Hutchins bring a lifetime of hands-on experience breeding, raising, training, showing and selling performance horses.
They understand what it takes to be successful because they have built programs, developed horses and produced results themselves. For the past decade, Gabe and Susi have developed Tamarack Ranch's reputation through breeding, sales and show-ring results.
Their philosophy has remained straightforward: quality in everything you do, attention to the details and hands-on ownership.

Joining forces
Two areas of expertise at the right time.
The families have known each other for more than 20 years. Apex represents the opportunity to unite two different areas of expertise at the right time: specialized reproductive medicine and proven performance-horse management, breeding, sales and service.
Both families are vested. Both have reputations connected to the outcome. And both believe the details surrounding health, welfare, management and customer service are critical to long-term success.
Committed
Committed to the breeder, the donor mare, the recipient and the result.
Committed to the breeder.
Your breeding program has an objective. Apex understands the investment, planning and opportunity represented by every embryo and is committed to giving it the best opportunity possible.
Committed to the donor mare.
Results should never come at the expense of the mare. The objective is always reproductive success while protecting the donor mare's overall health, welfare and longevity.
Committed to the recipient.
Recipient mares are fundamental to the success of an embryo-transfer program. Apex selects and manages them as individuals, not replaceable inventory.
Committed to the result.
Every decision, from recipient selection and reproductive management to nutrition, communication and the day the mare leaves Apex, is made with the outcome in mind.
We do one thing really, really well.
We transfer embryos into an elite group of recipient mares selected and managed under exceptional scrutiny.
