Dr. Matt Parsons

Focused by choice.

Dr. Matt Parsons has built his career around horses, and ultimately around one specialized area of veterinary medicine: equine reproduction.

Dr. Matt Parsons

A former leading youth reining competitor, Matt grew up riding, showing and working alongside accomplished horsemen. He is a two-time Quarter Horse Congress Champion and earned multiple NRHA Youth Year-End Top Ten finishes.

He graduated from Texas A&M with honors before earning his veterinary degree from Texas A&M in 2011, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Honors and receiving the Surgeon's Award.

His professional career included Thoroughbred reproduction and yearling sales work in Lexington, Kentucky, followed by sports medicine and an expanding equine breeding clientele.

In 2014, Matt moved into embryo-transfer practice in Weatherford, Texas. During the years that followed, he worked within large embryo-transfer programs in Weatherford and Stephenville, helping manage recipient herds and transferring approximately 400-600 embryos annually.

Today, as veterinarian and vested partner in Apex Equine Reproduction, Matt brings that experience to a program intentionally designed around continuity, individual management and results.
