It begins with specialized veterinary expertise. Dr. Matt Parsons is a veterinarian and vested partner whose career has become increasingly focused on equine reproduction. At Apex, he personally examines the donor and recipient mares, manages the reproductive decisions and performs the embryo transfers.
Apex is not focused on processing the most mares. It is focused on making the right decisions, providing the right mares and giving clients the best opportunity for results.

Day 0
One veterinarian.
Dr. Matt Parsons personally examines the donor and recipient mares, manages the reproductive decisions and performs the embryo transfers. Continuity from examination through transfer.

Day 12
Pregnancy check.
Historically, Dr. Parsons' 12-day pregnancy rates have exceeded 90% for conventional embryos and 80% for ICSI embryos.
The Apex difference
Day 40
Established pregnancy.
Recipient mares remain at Apex through 40 days of pregnancy at no additional cost, subject to program terms. Embryonic loss can still occur following heartbeat detection, and Apex prefers to send mares home with a more established pregnancy.

Foaling
Optional Live Foal Guarantee.
Additional protection for qualifying clients, subject to program terms. The objective is to give every recipient leaving the program the best opportunity to ultimately produce a live foal.

Reservation carryover.
When Apex transfers an embryo but does not provide a pregnant recipient during the contract year, qualifying reservation fees may carry forward under applicable terms.
